The World's Biggest Flashlight

I got an early Christmas present yesterday - a 17.5 million candlepower spotlight with a rechargeable battery. It is incredibly bright. The box says "We've captured the sun!".

Blu-Ray

Blu-Ray rules. As many of you know, Rachel gave me an early anniversary present, a Samsung BDP-1400 Blu-Ray player! The first movie I bought was "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen". Lots of stuff blows up, lots of gunshots, etc. Good stuff. The Blu-Ray looks awesome. All backgrounds actually have texture, crowds of people are well-defined. Impressive. I feel like the DTS-HD Master audio sounded better than DVD as well. Thank you Rachel! I can't wait to watch more Blu-Ray movies!

Apparently it is bad luck to brag about your fantasy football team on your blog. Right after posting about my team, I got slaughtered the next week. The same thing happened to Mark. Oh well. I recovered from the slaughtering and beat the juggernaut that is "Sasquatch" (Mark's team). I ended up with the second best record in the league and the #3 playoff spot. I get to play a team that stumbled into the playoffs on a 3 week losing streak. Hopefully Sasquatch and I will be playing each other for the championship in 2 weeks.

Ye Olde Scurvy Dogs (my basketball team) did not falter after posting about them on here. They have an ever increasing choke hold on 1st place. We will see if my overperforming big men can keep it up (Kaman, Bogut, Wilcox). The team Mark and I co-manage in another league is doing pretty well. We are sitting at 4th place out of 12 teams. The other managers in that league seem to know what they are doing, so it is a difficult league.

I got Rachel an early anniversary present that should be coming tomorrow...
